World
- The abandoned village stands again. Four real buildings, a barn, a farmhouse, a collapsed house and an outbuilding, where the six placeholder boxes stood. Rats live there now; go carefully.
- The Thrall Captain's codex line says where he stands. He holds depths I, II and IV of the Broken Fortress; the codex said I and IV.
Fixed
- Climbing out of the Broken Fortress keeps your character. The exit portal after the throne and the stair back up landed a blank level 1 hero in the town, and the next autosave wrote him over your real one. The town now restores your character on arrival and lands you at the waystone; a save is refused while that is in flight; and every save keeps the previous file beside it as a spare.
- The checkered square on the ground when you swing is gone. The slash arc drew a bare plane in its material's place; it now draws the arc.
- The Iron Vein Falchion and the Arming Sword of the Red Spring have their own icons. The last notes said they had; they had not.
- One gait. Right Shift no longer sprints; hold the left button to run, as before. A key you gave to Sprint in Settings still works.
- Meshes whose material is set while you play (chests, the fortress exit veil) no longer wait for their shader before drawing. If a chest was a light with no box under it for you, tell us whether this build changes that.
For your reports
- Bug reports now carry the start of the log and a line about your graphics card, so a report about something that does not draw tells us what it was drawn on. Nothing else about you is sent.
Known Issues
- A character overwritten by the fortress exit in the previous build cannot be recovered by this fix; tell us the name and level and we put it back.
- The exit portal after the throne can be invisible; the way out is still there, walk to the light.
- The hero swings two-handed weapons one-handed; the two-handed swings are being made.
- The Bandit is being rebuilt on a new body; this is the old one.
- The fountain's blood pour is still flat geometry.
- Some sound effects are stereo where they should be mono; being checked.
