Character creator
- Women's hair. Six styles — shaved with a scar, pixie, choppy bob, low knot, long and straight, and a layered mane — plus shorn and none, and ten brows to go with them.
- Your hero holds still while you work on her. She breathes instead of swaying, so a face slider is something you can actually judge.
Seeing the world
- Buildings stop disappearing. The cut-out that shows your hero under a roof was eight metres across and took whole buildings with it — a market stall lost its entire roof. It is a third of that now.
- Dropped loot reads at a glance. The light under an item takes the item's own rarity colour instead of a fixed gold, the beam is thinner and dimmer, and pieces spread out on the ground instead of landing in a pile.
Signing in
- Sign in from the game itself. Start Crawling Darkness without the launcher and the main menu offers to sign you in. You can also just play — signing in is never required.
- Coming back on a new PC. The launcher signs you back into an account you already have: enter the email you signed up with, and there is no password to remember.
- Once you are signed in, the game remembers you next time.
The Broken Fortress
- The way home is visible. After Skugarth falls, the way out of his pit opens as a rift in the middle of the arena instead of an invisible spot on the floor.
- Skugarth is louder. His roar, his challenges and his last words no longer sit under his own axes.
- Bile Spewers burst. Their entry has always said they burst when they die. Now they do — stand clear.
Known Issues
- Men's body and face shape sliders are not in yet.
- More hair styles are coming, for everyone.
- Skugarth has no sitting animation yet; he stands on his throne while his garrison fights.
- Some armour does not yet follow the body shape sliders, so the body can show through a piece.
